Castarède Bas Armagnac VSOP comes from the historic Gers region in Occitania. It is made with typical local grapes, mainly Folle Blanche, Baco and Ugni Blanc.
Long ageing in oak casks gives the spirit a rich, layered aromatic complexity. It is appreciated as a digestif and pairs well with dark chocolate desserts, dried-fruit sweets, rich sauces and aged cheeses.
On the nose it shows deep dried fruit, vanilla and delicate spices. On the palate there is a balance between softness and persistence, with light floral notes blending with toasted wood nuances.
