A Barolo DOCG from Giacomo Fenocchio, from the 2022 vintage.
It shows a clear, well-defined character, with mature cherry, rose petal and a light earthy note recalling tobacco and undergrowth. The acidity is lively, with a savoury freshness that keeps the palate lively; the body is medium-full, with concentration that never feels oppressive. The tannins are present but fine, supporting a balanced structure and a long finish with delicate spices.
It suits structured traditional dishes, roasts and aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed on its own. Serve around 16-18 °C and decant if opened straight away.
