This is a Bas Armagnac from Castex, distilled in 2000 and aged in oak casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 44% ABV.
The colour is a deep amber with golden and reddish tones. The nose offers dried fruit, vanilla, nutmeg and pepper, with hints of cocoa and tobacco.
The palate is round and balanced, with plum, cooked apple and caramel. The finish is long, with toasted almonds and cedar, and lingering notes of leather and earth.
