Castle & Key – Cask Strength Single Barrel Rye Whiskey

This is a single barrel rye whiskey from Castle & Key, bottled at cask strength. The distillery is the restored Old Taylor Distillery in Millville, Kentucky. Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. built the site in 1887 as a distillery destination with a real castle, a classical Springhouse and a Sunken Garden. Prohibition closed it in 1920, and the Castle & Key team bought it in ruins in 2014. The keyhole-shaped Springhouse, their water source, and the castle gave the distillery its name.
