Catoctin Creek Ragnarok Rye Whisky #3 is the GWAR Edition, a limited release made by Catoctin Creek Distilling Company in Purcellville, Virginia, in tribute to Oderus Urungus of GWAR. The bottle carries original artwork by Dave Brockie and a pewter bartop.
The whisky is made from 100% rye grain and aged with white oak, sugar maple and cherrywood, then finished in rum casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The profile is led by bold spice and cracked pepper, with dark caramel, vanilla and a little molasses sweetness, plus hints of tropical fruit and toasted wood.
