Chairman's Reserve Legacy is a dark rum from St Lucia, produced by Chairman's Reserve. It is made from molasses and distilled in both column and pot stills, as a tribute to traditional distillation methods. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon. The nose offers candied fruit, sweet spices such as cinnamon and a subtle trace of wood smoke. On the palate it is soft and velvety, with balanced sweetness, vanilla, chocolate and a touch of black pepper. It finishes long and aromatic. Best enjoyed neat or in sophisticated cocktails.
