This 25 year old Ben Nevis is part of the Monologue range from Chapter 7, selected by founder Selim Evin. It was distilled in November 1998 and bottled in December 2023 at 49.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a single bourbon hogshead, which gave 216 bottles, and it is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose is of stone dust, candle wax, tobacco, honey, tangerine, marzipan and dark chocolate. The palate brings beeswax, bitter orange, apple juice, strong cappuccino, white pepper, apple pie and cinnamon. The finish is lingering, with dark chocolate, orchard fruit and a touch of oak and spice.
