Chapter 7 Dailuaine 11 Year Old (70cl, 51.5%)

This is an 11-year-old single malt from Dailuaine, bottled by Chapter 7 in its Monologue range. It was distilled in September 2011 and matured in a single bourbon hogshead until bottling in May 2022 at a cask strength of 51.5%, with natural colour and no chill filtration. Only 309 bottles were filled, in 70cl size. Dailuaine is a Speyside distillery whose malt is described as fat and meaty, the result of long fermentation, fast distillation and stainless steel condensers. The nose brings vanilla, earth, fresh barley, green banana and pancake. On the palate there is custard, lime and pepper, with lager, melon jam and apple liqueur. The finish runs to green oranges, sawdust, black tea and burnt caramel.
