A 12-year-old Blair Athol single malt from the Highlands, released by Chapter 7 in its Monologue range. It was distilled in October 2009 and bottled in January 2022, from a single red wine cask. The strength is 53% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration, from 258 bottles.
The nose brings fruit syrup, honey and muscovado sugar, with apple, tinned pear, peach and candied fruit. The palate is barley syrup and preserved fruit with cereal, citrus zest and vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, coffee liqueur, cream and sweet, bright fruit.
