Charbay – Double & Twisted Whisky (75cl)

Charbay Double & Twisted is a Californian whisky in a 75cl bottle, double-distilled in a copper Alambic Charentais pot still. The name comes from an old distilling term for the best of the spirit, which runs from the still in a stream that doubles and twists on itself. It is a blend of three whiskies: 50% four-year-old straight malt, 30% eight-year-old stout whisky and 20% four-year-old pilsner whisky, shaped by long ageing in oak. The nose brings nutmeg, clove and cinnamon, followed by smoky malted barley and dark roasted coffee on the palate.
