Chartreuse Liqueur d'Elixir 1605 (70cl, 56%)

A herbal liqueur created to commemorate the return of the manuscript that formed the original recipe for Chartreuse by François Annibal d'Estrées in 1605 to the Carthusian monks. It uses over 130 different herbs and spices. The recipe was said to be ancient and so complex that production did not begin at the monastery until 1737. This special edition was created in 2005, 400 years later, and is bottled at 56%.
