Château de Léberon Solera 2001 is an Armagnac blended from 65% Ugni Blanc and 35% Colombard. It takes its inspiration from the sherry producers and is aged in a single 55 hectolitre foudre using the solera method.
That foudre has not been emptied since 2001. Each year 10% of its volume is drawn off, and it is topped up with armagnac from the year N-3. The blend is enriched year after year, giving a notably smooth, well-integrated spirit.
