Château Phélan Ségur 2021 Saint-Estèphe

A structured red wine from Saint-Estèphe. The nose shows mature fruit with light spicy notes, kept restrained. On the palate the tannins are present but integrated, leading to a long, dry finish, with fruit alternating with slightly earthy notes and good persistence. It suits red meat, roasts and aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed on its own. A few years in the cellar may refine its overall harmony, though it remains pleasant in its early years.
