Chattanooga Whiskey Russian River Pinot Cask Finished Bourbon (75cl, 47.5%)

This is a Tennessee bourbon from Chattanooga Whiskey, bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made from five bourbon mash bills, aged for over four years in new charred oak, then finished for six months in Pinot Noir casks from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. The mash bills combine yellow corn with malted rye, malted wheat, honey malted barley, caramel malted barley, oak-smoked malted wheat and pale chocolate malted barley. The nose is fruit-forward, with blackberry, cherry pie and molasses. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with black currant and blueberry before vanilla and oak. The finish is moderately long, with light tannins, dark chocolate and prune.
