Chattanooga Whiskey Rye (75cl, 49.5%)

Chattanooga Whiskey Rye is a Tennessee rye malt whiskey, bottled at 49.5% in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled at the Experimental Distillery in Chattanooga. The mashbill uses four grains: pale, caramel and chocolate malted rye, plus yellow corn. The rye is malted by slow toasting and drum roasting. After a seven-day fermentation, the spirit matured for at least three years in new charred American oak barrels. The nose offers ripe fruit, apple butter and baking spice. On the palate come fruit cake, cola spice, caramel and maple syrup. The finish is medium-long, with cinnamon, nutmeg and dry rye spice.
