A Chianti Classico DOCG from Certosa di Belriguardo in Tuscany. It is mainly made from Sangiovese, grown on hilly clay and galestro soils. Ageing in oak barrels gives aromas of ripe cherry, Mediterranean herbs and light balsamic notes. On the palate it has good acidity and refined tannins, and it is suited to long ageing. It pairs well with Tuscan dishes such as ribollita or grilled meats.
