Pagliarese Chianti Classico DOCG is a Tuscan red made mainly from Sangiovese, with small amounts of other native varieties. It is deep ruby red, tending towards garnet with age. The nose combines ripe red fruit, violet and sweet spices, followed by light tobacco and chocolate from barrique ageing. On the palate it is robust yet harmonious, with balanced acidity and tannins, a full and persistent taste, and a finish recalling spices and red fruit. Serve at 18°C with Tuscan dishes, mushrooms or aged cheeses. It also has ageing potential in the cellar.
