Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva - Vigneti La Selvanella

A Chianti Classico Riserva produced by Melini from selected Sangiovese grapes from the La Selvanella vineyards. Traditional vinification is combined with modern techniques, and ageing in oak barrels adds toasted and spicy notes while keeping fruit freshness. It is intense ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose has ripe red fruit, cherry, plum, spices, leather, tobacco and light vanilla. The palate shows solid structure, well-balanced tannins and acidity, red fruit, sweet spices and light minerality, with a long persistent finish. It pairs with grilled red meats, game, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
