Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Selezione Petri Castello Vicchiomaggio

A Chianti Classico Riserva from Castello Vicchiomaggio, produced by the Petri winery in the Chianti Classico area. It is made from Sangiovese grown on galestro-rich hills, which give mineralty and structure. After controlled fermentation it ages in oak barrels, harmonising the grape's vibrancy and freshness with softness and complexity. The nose shows ripe cherry, plum, sweet spice and earthy notes reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub. The palate is full, velvety and well balanced, with silky tannins and a lingering finish. It suits Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, aged cheeses and roast meats.
