Chianti DOCG Borghi D'Elsa Melini

A Chianti DOCG from Melini with an immediate and recognisable profile. Ripe red fruit, cherry and black cherry sit in the background, accompanied by light floral notes and a well-measured hint of spice. The nose offers clarity and aromatic cleanliness, while lively acidity and savouriness give structure to a medium-bodied wine with soft, never rough tannins. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, with fruity returns and discreet persistence. It suits everyday drinking but has enough personality for structured dishes, particularly ragu pasta, flavourful white meats and semi-aged cheeses. Serve cool, around 16-18 C.
