Chichibu Ichiro's Malt & Grain (75cl, 46.5%)

Chichibu Ichiro's Malt & Grain is a world blended whisky in a 750ml bottle at 46.5% ABV. It is built around Ichiro Akuto's own Chichibu single malt, blended with malt and grain whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Canada and the United States. The component whiskies are aged for three to five years in their home countries, then spend a further one to three years maturing at Chichibu in Saitama, Japan, before the blend is made. The nose brings apricot, popcorn toffee, vanilla cream and Meyer lemon zest. On the palate come toffee, roasted chestnut, gingerbread, vanilla and black pepper, followed by a medium-long finish of honey and black pepper.
