Ichiro's Malt & Grain World Whisky Limited Edition is an annual blend from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan. Chichibu malt is combined with distillates from Scotland, Ireland, England, the USA and Canada. Every component is at least 10 years old, and several are between 20 and 40 years old. The blend is matured further at Chichibu before vatting. It is bottled at 48% with no added colouring and is non-chill filtered.
The nose brings baked apple, cinnamon, roasted corn, white pepper and honey. The palate is rich and malty, with a toffee, vanilla and caramel base and touches of sherry and oak. The finish is long and warming.
