Chichibu
This is the 2023 Paris Edition from the Japanese distillery Chichibu, put together by Ichiro Akuto as a tribute to nineteenth-century Parisian architecture. Its five different labels depict historic Parisian façades, and each bottle is allocated at random. The whisky is a blend of spirits aged from five to seven years, matured in a variety of casks and made from several barley varieties, some of it malted by hand. The character is intensely fruity and delicately medicinal, with peat woven in quietly. The edition is limited to 2100 bottles.
