Chichibu The Peated 2026 is a Japanese single malt from the Ichiro's Malt range, bottled at 50.5% ABV. It is the first standalone release of Chichibu's heavily peated malt since 2022.
The malt was peated to 50 PPM during the distillery's annual month-long peated production run. It matured mainly in ex-bourbon barrels, with oloroso sherry casks and re-coopered hogsheads alongside them.
Elegant peat smoke is balanced by a gentle sweetness.
