This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Chicken Cock, finished in Petite Sirah barrels from the California winery J. Wilkes. It comes in a 75cl bottle and brings together Kentucky bourbon and California wine.
The nose offers dark chocolate, toasted oak and dried fruit. On the palate, dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla give way to pear, apple, cherry and red currant, with bright cranberry tartness and a touch of black pepper.
The finish is long and lingering, with nutmeg and clove spice.
