Chicken Cock Ryeteous Blonde is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 50% ABV and non-chill filtered. It was aged in new American oak, then finished in blonde ale barrels from Golden Road Brewing, and is a limited release.
The beer casks add light malt sweetness, floral hops and soft citrus to the rye.
The nose has lemon peel, honeyed grain, vanilla and gentle herbal notes. The palate shows lively rye spice with biscuit malt, light citrus and white pepper, and the finish is crisp, with lingering oak and soft sweetness.
