Chicken Cock Wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a 47% bourbon from a brand dating back to 1856. Wheat rather than rye is the secondary grain in the mash bill, and the whiskey was aged and distilled in Kentucky. It comes in a honeycomb-textured glass bottle of 750ml.
The nose combines vanilla, toasted oak, sweet corn, caramel and light cinnamon. The palate is buttery, with honey, soft oak, vanilla cream and a touch of baking spice. The finish is long and silky, with toffee and light smoke.
