Chicken Cock Wheated is a Kentucky straight bourbon made in Bardstown with wheat in place of rye in the mash bill. It is aged for around five years and bottled at 94 proof (47%) in a 750ml bottle.
Chicken Cock was established in 1856 and revived for the modern craft era. This bourbon is the brand's softer, sweeter style.
The nose is soft vanilla, baked grain, honey and gentle spice. The palate brings wheat sweetness with caramel, toasted oak and light cereal notes. The finish is long and mellow, lightly oaked, with lingering sweetness.
