This is an 18 year old Caperdonich from 1995, bottled by Ian Macleod under the Chieftain's label at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the Highlands of Scotland. Sherry plays a clear part in this bottling, though it does not hide the distillery character, which shows first as soft, light floral notes and green apple. On the nose, the sherry brings a rich pear and chocolate cake note, followed by fresh citrus.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
