Chivas Regal 12 Year is a blended Scotch whisky in a 1.75 litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. Every whisky in the blend has spent at least twelve years in oak casks.
At its heart is single malt from Strathisla, the distillery in Keith, Speyside, founded in 1786. It is married with other malt and grain whiskies.
The nose offers heather honey, butterscotch, fresh hay, light citrus and ripe apple. The palate is creamy, with walnut, hazelnut, white pepper, vanilla and a melon-like fruitiness. The finish is medium and drying, with flint, citrus peel and a note of jasmine.
