Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of malt and mixed grain whiskies aged for 12 years in oak casks, and the brand traces its history to 1801, when the Chivas brothers opened a gourmet shop in Speyside.
The colour is a deep amber-yellow with golden highlights. The nose offers walnuts, cashews and hazelnuts, with sweet hints of toffee and dark chocolate. The palate is soft and velvety, with vanilla and chocolate, leading to a fairly long, smoky finish.
