Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. It is built around Strathisla single malt, with malts from Longmorn, The Glenlivet, Allt-a-Bhainne, Miltonduff and Braes of Glenlivet, and grain whisky from Strathclyde. Every component is matured for at least twelve years before blending.
The nose offers heather honey, orchard fruit, wild herbs and a gentle floral sweetness, with dried grass and beeswax beneath. The palate is soft and honeyed, with ripe pear, vanilla, butterscotch, hazelnut and a little oak spice. The finish is medium to long, with vanilla, soft smoke and a faint nuttiness.
