Chivas Extra 13 is a 13 year old blended Scotch whisky in which a portion has been matured in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The name looks back to the 13 King Street Emporium in Aberdeen, run by the Chivas brothers, where spirits, exotic spices and luxury foods were imported from around the world.
The sherry casks bring sweet, rich notes and fuller body to the blend, and the finish adds flavours new to the Chivas style.
