Chivas Regal 18 Year Old Ultimate Cask Collection First Fill Japanese Oak Finish (1L, 48%)

This is an 18 year old blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Regal, part of the Ultimate Cask Collection, bottled at 48% in a 1 litre bottle. It is finished in first fill Japanese oak casks made from Mizunara oak, a wood described as difficult to source and difficult to work with. Master coopers build the casks by hand, and the oak adds notes of sweet clementine, pears, vanilla and exotic spices. The whisky is non chill-filtered, which keeps its deep amber colour.
