Chivas Regal Ultis XX is a 20-year-old blended malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It was the first blended malt released by the House of Chivas.
Master Blender Sandy Hyslop created it in honour of his five predecessors, using five Speyside single malts: Tormore, Longmorn, Strathisla, Allt A Bhainne and Braeval. Fewer than 1% of the casks in the Chivas inventory were hand-selected for the blend.
The nose brings ripe peach and red apple with cinnamon, fudge, honey and vanilla pod. The palate is smooth, with blossom honey, milk chocolate, poached pears, apricot and orange zest. The finish is long and sweet, with soft caramel, cloves, ginger and peppery warmth.
