Choya Gold Label Sake (75cl, 14.5%)

Choya Gold Label is a Japanese sake, an alcoholic drink made from rice, bottled at 14.5% in a 75cl bottle. It is made by Choya of Habikino, Osaka, the producer best known as the world's largest maker of umeshu, the Japanese plum liqueur. This sake is bottled at a slightly higher strength than usual and has a fresh, lightly fruity character. On the nose there are delicate notes of sweet rice, melon and almond, and the palate is fresh and softly fruity with some sweetness. It suits sushi or fish, served lightly chilled.
