This is a 2007 Shiraz from Chris Ringland, made under the Dry Grown designation that was formerly called Three Rivers. The fruit comes from Ringland's small home vineyard of very old Shiraz vines in the Eden Valley and Barossa Ranges. It is bottled at 17.2% in a 75cl bottle. The colour is a deep garnet-black. The nose offers baked plums, Christmas cake and earthy, meaty notes, with hints of incense and exotic spice. The palate is full-bodied, richly fruited and layered, with dried berries, baking spice and a touch of leather.
