This is a Calvados from Christian Drouin, made in the Pays d'Auge appellation. After more than four years in oak barriques it takes on toasted and buttery notes, which sit alongside the fruit typical of Calvados.
The colour is an intense golden yellow. Cooked apple and dried apricot lead the nose, followed by floral notes, toast, butter and vanilla. On the palate, freshness and sweetness are well balanced, leading to a smoky finish.
