Christian Drouin Expressions 6 Year Old Calvados (70cl)

Christian Drouin Expressions is a Calvados from Normandy, distilled from cider and aged for six years in oak barrels. It comes in a 70cl bottle and has a bright golden colour. The nose is of baked apple, vanilla and spice, with cinnamon and clove, alongside caramel and toasted wood. On the palate it is medium to full in body, balancing the natural sweetness of the fruit with refreshing acidity. Apple moves towards dried fruit and leather, ending in a long, spiced finish. It can be sipped on its own as a digestif, used in cocktails, or served with mature cheese.
