Citadelle 0.0 is a French alcohol-free alternative to gin, made from 19 botanicals. It is produced by hydrodistillation, a method inspired by perfumery that draws out the aromas of the plants without using alcohol. The result is then blended with natural extracts to build its flavour.
The nose is fresh and herbal, with juniper, citrus, spice and light floral notes. The palate is lively and balanced, with a peppery edge. The finish is lingering, with spice and the freshness of the botanicals.
It is mainly suited to alcohol-free cocktails, such as a gin and tonic with a twist of lemon, or a Mule with ginger beer and ice.
