Clan Colla 11 Year Old Peated Oloroso Finish (70cl, 46%)

An 11-year-old Irish blended whiskey from Ahascragh Distillery in Galway, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whiskey is matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and peated casks. Strong sherry notes sit alongside honey sweetness and salty citrus. Ahascragh is a young distillery, set in a converted 19th-century grain mill. The nose brings earthy smoke, chocolate fudge and dried cherries. On the palate there is honey, salted caramel, dried fruit and raisins. The finish is long, with smoke and fine citrus zest.
