Clan Colla 13 Year Old Family Bond is an Irish whiskey from the Ahascragh distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is triple-distilled in copper pot stills and is not chill-filtered.
The whiskey spends 13 years in bourbon casks and is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain.
The nose has dried fruit, vanilla, honey and oak, with nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is velvety, with dried apricots, sultanas, honey, caramel, toasted almonds, dark chocolate and gentle spice. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness, dried fruit and a little oak spice.
