Clan Colla 7 Year Old is an Irish single grain whiskey distilled in copper column stills at the Ahascragh distillery. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and is not chill-filtered.
The whiskey spends seven years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels before a finish in Panamanian rum casks.
The nose is tropical fruit, with banana, mango and vanilla custard, plus molasses and toasted coconut. The palate is smooth and velvety, with caramel, shortbread, baking spices, brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, with tropical fruit, oak spice, demerara sugar and vanilla.
