This is a seven-year-old Irish single grain whiskey from Ahascragh Distillers. It was aged in bourbon barrels, then given an additional maturation in Panamanian rum casks.
It is non-chill-filtered, with no added colour, and bottled at 46%.
The nose is vanilla and banana with a Christmassy character. The palate is sweet but light and buttery, with dried fruit and baking spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is smooth and warming, with spicy cereal.
