This is a Croftengea 5 Year Old from the Warehouse No.8 range by Claxton's. Croftengea is made at Loch Lomond. The spirit was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 57.5%, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a single PX sherry octave, yielding 63 bottles. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose is heady with musk, freshly sawn oak and earthy-sweet peat. The palate starts sweet and very fruity before sweet peat comes through, and the finish stays fruity and peaty with smoked candy.
