A nine year old single malt from Orkney, bottled by Claxton's in its Warehouse No.1 range. It was distilled in 2012, matured in a single bourbon hogshead and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 61.2%, giving 338 bottles in a 70cl size. It is natural in colour and non-chill-filtered.
Sweet heather, peat bonfire and custard cream biscuits come first on the nose. The palate is malty and honeyed before a wave of white pepper and peat, and the long, peppery finish carries smoky honey.
