Clonakilty Double Oak Finish is an Irish whiskey and the first single batch release from the distillers at Clonakilty. They hand selected an 8 year old grain whiskey and a 10 year old triple distilled malt to make it.
The nose is soft with spices, vanilla, fresh cut grass and fresh leather, slightly perfumed, with ripe apple and pear. On the palate come warm spices of pepper and ginger, fresh cut grass, hazelnut and almond. The finish is well balanced, with spices lingering.
