Clonakilty Double Oak Finish is an Irish whisky that blends single grain whisky with single pot still whisky from Clonakilty Distillery. The pot still whisky won World's Best Irish New Make Single Pot Still at the 2020 World Whiskies Awards.
Maturation takes place in ex-bourbon casks, virgin American oak and European oak casks that have been shaved and re-toasted.
The nose is soft with spice, vanilla, fresh cut grass, ripe apple and pear, and a touch of leather. The palate brings cubeb pepper, ginger, hazelnut and almond. The finish is long, with vanilla sweetness and lingering spice.
