This Clynelish 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt, bottled in the 1970s by Ainslie & Heilbron at 40%.
It comes in its original box with an orange and brown label. The whisky has a waxy, mouth-coating texture, with citrus and spice alongside.
The nose shows tinned pear, dried apricot, ripe berry, heather honey, a little dried thyme and spicy oak. The palate is creamy caramel and zesty citrus with delicate heather honey and a touch of pepper, and the finish is lasting and warming with gentle chilli spice.
