Clynelish 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the 2022 Special Release series, bottled at 58.5% (117 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It was matured in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso seasoned casks, which sit alongside the waxy character associated with the distillery.
The nose is creamy, with mincemeat spice, tinned pears, heather honey and a light herbal note. The palate is medium-bodied and lively, with a wine-sweet richness, peppery oak spice and fruity undertones. The finish is long and drying, with chilli warmth, black pepper and a waxy texture.
